| It is proper to say that Blue System is another name of Dieter Bohlen. At the time of birth of Blue System Dieter thought it's name will be his next scenic pseudonym. It is true, because in a 10 year life span of Blue System it's cast changed 5
times.
On October 1, 1987 a new project of Dieter Bohlen first appeared on German TV at the program "Tele Ass". Back than the group was formed by DIETER
BOHLEN (composer, producer, lead vocals and second vocals); JOACHIM VOGEL (rhythm-guitar ); JEAN DUPUY(dance); FRANK
OTTO (drums). The first single "Sorry Little Sarah" was released very soon and it took it's place at the top ten. Such a success is very understandable, as Modern Talking was still remembered and music of Blue System had a different sound (there were no samba hits in Germany at the
time).
The first album "Walking On A Rainbow" was released in a month. Dieter moves to a new studio in Ohlstedt and starts to work on new songs. The video "My Bed Is Too Big" was shot in Death Valley (California). Same year new members
SNOOPY (keyboards), Sheree and Afro (dance) joined the group.
On March 26, 1988 the group gives first concert, which was organized by radiostation "Radio Schleswig Holstein", at the sport complex
Alstendorfer (Hamburg).
Before the release of the second album the new video "Under My Skin" was introduced on Ronny's Pop Show. However, the ZDF channel required a new "softer" version.
In the autumn of 1998 the new album "Twilight" and the single "Magic Symphony" are released. Three weeks later they are at the top ten. Same year Blue System gives concerts in Moscow. While there, they shoot another video "Love Me On The Rocks". At the time the place of drummer, vacated by FRANK OTTO, who moved with his girlfriend Caroline
Muller (C.C.CATCH) to London, was taken by MICHEL ROLLIN. Nadel ab del
FARRAG (dance) and LUTZ KRUGER (rhythm and solo guitar) also have joined the
group.
On August 21, 1991 duet with Dionne Warwick was recorded at the Lion's Share Studio I en II (LA). Later on this song "It's All Over" was released as a single. Meanwhile especially for Moscow concerts Dieter hired ACHIM
STRIEBEN (keyboards), while Afro and Sheree left the group.
On June 28, 1992 DIRK SAUER joined Blue System to work with RENE ENGELMANN, while FRITSCH WOLFAGANG had taken the place of Joachim Vogel.
In 1996, the 50th anniversary of UNICEF, the group have recorded the new composition For The Children with Children
United.
In 1997 Blue System was formed by DIETER BOHLEN (composer, producer, lead vocals and second vocals); MICHEL ROLLIN (drummer); Nadel ab del FARRAG (dance); LUTZ
KRUGER (rhythm and solo guitar); LATO TITENKOV (keyboards).
By the end of existence of Blue System were released 13 albums, 30 singles and 23 videos. The group visited USSR 3 times, every time giving concerts on a big stages with a great
success.
