Dieter never says sweet words about his pets as Thomas does, but he has always had many of them. Now and then he has had pets and 5 horses, whom he adores. 

Thomas, on the contrary, always loved animals, he and Nora had several cats and dogs. Now he has a nice, small Malta lap-dog.

Hair

Light-brown, slightly wavy. In the beginning Modern Talking Dieter had short hair-cutting with the bang combed sideways, only later his hair grow longer, and, when Dieter performed with Blue System, it was approximately to shoulders or even longer. In 1996 Dieter again cuts his hair, this time without any bang, but, combing hair back. At the end of 98 Diter cuts the hair very short, while during May 99 all were shocked - Diter cuts it still shorter, he even didn't look like himself. However, " Everyone find this elegant, " - stated Diter. (I wonder, who is "everyone"?)

Dark-dark chestnut, from nature curling. In solo projects before Modern Talking, Thomas had short, but fluffy hair-style. During the Modern Talking times the hair fell below the shoulders, but in post-moderntalking times it was taken into the tail, in 1995 he had a crew-cut. During the subsequent years Thomas kept short hair-style in different variations, and his hair never grew below the shoulders. Like Dieter, now Thomas also has made a "short stylish crew-cut", so both are nice now.

Voice

Deep and hoarse. In the beginning of the career his voice was much higher and not so hoarse. In the English speech sometimes the German accent is audible. While singing it is less frequent than when speaking. But it doesn't matter anyone, indeed Dieter's voice sounds wonderful.

Tender, velvety. In the early youth his voice also was a little bit higher. Thomas grew older and his voice became more rich and a little lower. The German accent can be hardly noticed, if not to take into account some cases when he palatalizes hard constants while singing. He freely speaks French. Also can rather free speak Spanish and Russian (but doesn't have a good command of them).

Astrology

Dieter doesn't believe in any kind of predictions, as he says, he is afraid of any fortune-telling and horoscopes very much.

Thomas believes in astrology. Most likely it is from the times when he was with Nora, who was strongly fascinated by spiritism and at the same time gave her husband access to it.

Education

Dieter has been attending several schools providing general education. Has finished gymnasia with a first-class honors degree and has got the diploma of economist after graduating from the university. On the whole, his is an economist. 

Has finished general school and 5 semesters has been studying at the Academy of vocal art, where he was taught Germanistics (German language and literature), and of course, musicology. Both educational institutions Thomas has finished with honors. Actually he has no special education, but we can say that he is a philologist.

Music and Lyrics

Are reflected absolutely different themes, beginning with the question "Is it Love?" and ending with the death (Testamente d'Amelia"), nevertheless songs are mostly about love but it is expressed through the everyday themes. For example, who but Dieter can think up to express the feelings, by saying the operator states that the conversation is finished. Of course, music is easy to memorize (It's Dieter!), the lyrics also, but sometimes in the songs we can find many repeated phrases, rhythms and even lines. Excellent arrangements and rather easy and clinging melodies.

Songs mostly about love, though sometimes more philosophical can be found, for example, Marathon Of Life or The Road to Higher Love. Some melodies are easy to memorize, the others not. The lines not always are rhymed, but no one cares about it. The main thing here is his voice. And one more thing, who said that it is impossible to dance with Thomas's music? If we compare with rap and metal, then his music can be called the best for dancing. Not disco, that's true, but still.

Film work

Dieter wrote music for many German films, broadcasts, shows and soap operas. The biggest work is the film Schimanski - Tatort, in one of the series the main song was "Midnight Lady", performed by Chris Norman. Another song of Dieter and Chris "Broken Heroes" also appeared there in the series Gebrochene Bluten (Broken flowers, May 1st, 1988). But the most important Dieter's work in kino is his appearance in one of the series of the same film, his song also was used there. Some episodes of the Tatort can be seen in the videos of Chris Norman and Blue System. The genre of the film is criminal drama.

Hobby

Scuba diving, fitness, tennis, aqueous skis. Different from Thomas, Dieter is interested in transport: cars, motor cycles, horses. 

Golf, tennis, his pets and a little strange pursue - cooking. And sometimes swimming as well.

Art

Dieter is not very interested in any kind of art, except music, but even here he is limited with Modern Talking, Blue System and other projects of his own. Most likely Dieter is simply very busy.

Thomas is more versatile creature. His favorite female singer is Barbara Streisand and male singer, no doubt, Barry Manilov, on the whole Thomas likes soft and melodically pop-music. But he hates heavy-metal. Favorite actress Maryl Strip, actor - Jack Nikolson.

Recreation

Already from youth Dieter adores spending time on parties, in night clubs and at discos. There he has met his first wife and also some time later met Nadja at one of Hamgourg discos. In general he gets acquainted with his admirers at the discos. "It happens that when I get to the disco a crowd of girls gather around me, we speak, and I really have fun" - says Dieter. He likes such nightlife, and very often you can come across him at any club or disco. 

Parties for Thomas are a kind of conversation, that's why he goes there just to have a talk. He doesn't like loud occasions. "I have never been to any large disco. Even if I happen to get there, I'm usually standing somewhere at the dark corner, the eyes hurt much because of this bright, flashing light and I do not like it. No, it is not for me." He prefers small, quite places, restaurants, cafes where he can just sit and talk to his friends.

Habits

Dieter smokes from youth. In the University he tried not strong drugs, but then gave up using them. He is not good at distinguishing different wines, but from all he prefers champagne. By the way, it is also Nadja's favorite drink.

Thomas states that also smokes, though no one has ever seen him with the pipe. He is really expert in wines. Prefers white brands. Likes light, soft Italian wines, as well as Prosecco, Rose, Chablis and Sancerre, though he is not indifferent to red brands of wine and champagne. Categorically denies that has ever used drugs.
