Dieter played a small, or to be more correct, episodically role in one of the Moltke's series, Shimanski - Tatort in 1988, it was broadcasted on the 28th of December (director: Hajo Gies), we could see him in one of the episodes, where Dieter depicted the innocent suspected. One musical creation of Dieter (Silent Water from album Body Heat) was used there as well. A short review of the series: Christmas. The greater amount of the policemen is having their long-awaited Christmas vacations. But not Shimanski (Getz Heorg is playing his role). Nine years ago he put behind bars Pole, named Pavlek Zbignev, with the nickname Moltke, he was taking part in the bank rubbery, when one of the guards was killed and Moltke's brother Bruno as well. All the others accomplices hided, but Moltke left with his dead brother. So, he was put behind bars for all. Exactly at Christmas he gets freedom and begins to take vengeance on former accomplices. Shimanski tries to prevent crime in a peaceful way, but while he is trying to persuade Moltke not to murder anyone, this case is being turned over to Shimanski's workmate - Christian Tanner (Eberhard Tainer plays his role). As a result two of three accomplices of the robbery nevertheless are killed (one was drowned, another - shot), but the police took the third
one.
The whole Dieter's role is limited with a couple of phrases, punching Tanner's jaw and a minute-long stay on the screen. Dieter is playing a role of a very jealous boyfriend of one lady, whom with Tanner got acquainted in a tavern while celebrating Christmas. The first Dieter's phrase (rather impolite "Kiss my ass!") referred to Shimanski, who has noticed Dieter at the window watching his girlfriend and invited him to enter, only then wished him happy holidays. The second phrase: "You're a swine, we were going to get married!" - referred to Tanner who decided to stand up for a woman whose boyfriend is Dieter and whom with he quarreled right at the
street.
"The blonde dandy" as he is named in this film, becomes a suspected one (the police even makes his identikit), because he owned a black Golf, as well as the third accomplice of the bank
rubbery. |
