Claudia Hess was born on 29 April 1972 in a small town Bendorf in Westervald not far from Koblenz. Her parents are Doris and Hanz Hess. When she was a little girl they taught her how to play golf, but she obviously did not like it. Claudia is not the only child in her family - she has a brother Andreas. She got secondary education having studied for 10 yours in high school, then she got higher economical education and finished a language school, where she got her qualification.

When she became a grown-up girl Cludia began to work as a secretary and a translator of a manager of a big company in Koblenz which deals with building transport communications, also she was qualified for wholesales and international trading and she liked her job very much. However, despite this she quit her job for Thomas - now she works for Thomas Anders Sony Music. Claudia is Thomas's secretary, she goes on tours with him and is busy with his paperwork.

Thomas and Claudia first met in a cafe 'Faust' in Koblenz in spring 1986. Claudia was there with other three girls and Thomas was sitting not far from them. And, as he says in all his interviews, he came up to her and said: 'Hello, where are you from?'

"Faust' became their favourite place. Every time Claudia came to the cafe she 'absolutely accidentally' met Thomas and on her birthday he brought her a huge bunch of red roses. And did she understand the hint? 'Yes, - Claudia says, - only in spite of this I made him wait for a couple of weeks. Firstly, I wanted to know if he was serious…'

They start to call each other and could speak for hours. And Claudia realized that Thomas was the Prince of her dreams. Claudia knew very well who Thomas Anders was, some time she was fond of Modern Talking, too. Her friends warned her: 'a man like this takes a bath in champagne, he has a thousand women', but Claudia paid no heed to these warnings. And Thomas did not play games with her, he was just a man, not a pop-star.

In the evening of 6 August 1996 having come back from her holidays Claudia decided to visit her friend, to come round his place for a couple of minutes to say hello. Thomas did not waste time and immediately cooked dinner. Then he sat at the piano and played 'Mandy' by Barry Manilow. From that evening on love reigned in their hearts…

In March 1998 their quite and peaceful life finished. Modern Talking re-united. Formerly Claudia was often at home, cooked meals (apparently she is very good at it), listened music with Thomas at weekends, but now… Concerts, photo-sessions, interviews… But the most unpleasant thing was tours. Thomas often had to go on tours and Claudia had to stay alone because she liked her job and could not give it up, however they often called each other, sometimes three times a day. Now Claudia almost always goes with Thomas.

Thomas claims that he and Claudia do not talk about music business or his career which is hard to believe in. Thomas tried to protect Claudia from the mass-media, he believed that he had a job which had certain problems, but his girl-friend should not be involved. However, in summer 1999 he decided to introduce her to the world. Before that they had lived together for three years and nobody knew who Claudia was. After that in many newspapers and magazines publishing articles about Modern Talking it was possible to see her photos and to read a few words about her.

On 20 February 1999 there was a message that Thomas finally divorced with his first wife Nora Balling. And it was known that he wanted to marry his girl-friend Claudia. According to 'The Bild' (more exactly according to rumours) it could have been a 'double' marriage - Dieter Bohlen was going to marry his girl-friend Nadia on the same day as Thomas and Claudia. Yet, after the divorce with Nora Thomas announced that there would not be their marriage during at least a year and a half. The most probable reason was the time that was necessary to wait after the divorce took place. Apart from that Thomas and Dieter were very busy with Modern Talking.

At the moment the wedding is not a dream and a planned event, it has happened. On 15 July 2000 at 3 p.m. German time there was Thomas and Claudia's wedding not far from Koblenz. It was a very private holiday, the only journalists were Bunte reporters and the team of TV-channel SAT1.

Whenever Thomas is asked about Claudia we can hear only good words. 'We are a very harmonious couple, - Thomas says, - we hardly ever argue, we speak common language. We have similar points of view on life, we think and feel the same and we always have something to discuss at dinner even if we have spent all day together. Claudia is a person who is very easy to live with…'
